Our Standard WordPress Website package (starting at $1,650) is ideal for small businesses and service providers looking for a modern, professional website without breaking the bank. This package provides a fully custom website built on WordPress – the world’s most popular website platform – which means your site will be easy for you to update and grow over time. We focus on creating a site that looks great and works hard for your business. It will be mobile-friendly, secure, and tailored to the needs of your local audience, no matter where you are.
Custom WordPress Website Design: A unique design that reflects your brand’s personality (no generic templates here!)
Up to 10 Pages of Content: We’ll design and build up to ten pages (e.g. Home, About, Services, Contact, etc.) crafted to inform and engage your visitors.
Mobile-Responsive Layout: Your site will automatically adapt to look good on desktops, tablets, and smartphones, so customers can browse on any device.
Basic On-Page SEO Setup: We implement initial search engine optimizations (SEO) – like setting up keywords for your region and proper page titles – to help your site show up on Google (especially for local Mobile, AL searches).
Contact Form or Lead Capture: A built-in contact form so visitors can easily reach out to you (their inquiries will go straight to your email). This helps you turn visitors into leads or customers.
Domain & Hosting Guidance: We include 1 year of free domain registration (your “.com” address) if needed, and we’ll help you get set up with a hosting plan (hosting fees are separate, but we’ll guide you through it).
Content Management System: The site is built on WordPress, which means after launch you can log in and edit text or add blog posts yourself, without needing to know any code. (And don’t worry, we’ll show you how.)
Discovery & Planning. We start with a kickoff meeting (in person, over the phone, or via Google Meet) to learn more about you, your business, target audiences, and goals for the website. We’ll discuss the pages and features you need. If you already have a logo or any brand assets, we’ll make sure the website compliments your existing branding. After this, we’ll outline a clear plan and timeline for the project.
Hosting Plan Setup. Next, we’ll need to set up your website hosting environment. BrandMatter partners with Spacebar Digital Solutions to offer affordable, secure hosting to our clients. Spacebar offers two types of hosting: Basic and Premium. The Basic Hosting plan is $35/month (or $350/year) and includes fast, secure hosting with no managed services. The Premium Hosting plan is $125/month (or $1,250/year) and includes unlimited content revisions or edits per month.
Development. Once your hosting account is set up, it’s time for our team to begin development on your website. We’ll start by putting it in ‘Coming Soon’ mode with a lead capture form to collect any leads while we’re developing the site. Then, we design the visual style: choosing colors, typography, and other design elements to match your brand’s look.
Review & Revisions. When the initial build is ready, we’ll share the login information for your Wordpress site so you can log in and view the progress. Click around, read the content, fill out the contact form – experience it as if you were a visitor. We’ll ask for your feedback: Is there anything that isn’t quite what you expected? Any text changes or additional photos you want to swap in? We include a round of revisions at this stage, so we can fine-tune the details to make sure the site is just right.
Testing & Launch. Before going live, we perform thorough testing. We check the site on different web browsers (Chrome, Safari, etc.) and devices (iPhone, Android, tablets) to ensure everything looks and works great everywhere. We also test all forms and interactive elements to be sure your visitors will have a smooth experience. Once you give us the final thumbs-up, we handle the launch — connecting the site to your domain (yourbusiness.com) and making it live for the world to see! This step is scheduled at a time you’re comfortable with, and typically your site can be live within minutes of our go-ahead. Congratulations, you now have a brand-new website! 🎉
Training & Support. After launch, we won’t leave you hanging. We’ll provide a basic training session (or a how-to guide) to show you how to log into WordPress, update text or images, post blog updates, etc. Our goal is to empower you to manage minor updates on your own. Of course, if you prefer not to bother, we’re happy to handle updates for you as needed (see our maintenance options). We also include 30 days of post-launch support with the Standard package – if you encounter any issues or have questions within the first month, just reach out and we’ll help at no extra charge.
A standard 5–10 page WordPress website project typically takes about 4–6 weeks from kickoff to launch. Simpler sites can be done even faster, and more complex ones might take a bit longer – but ~1 month is the usual timeline. This assumes we receive content (like text and images for your pages) and feedback from you in a timely manner along the way. We’ll keep you updated with a schedule, so you’ll always know what stage we’re in and what’s coming next.
For website projects, we break the payment into two main installments to keep things simple:
A 50% deposit is due upfront to reserve your project in our schedule and get started on the planning & design phase. Once we receive the deposit, we begin work.
The remaining 50% balance is due when the website is finished and just before we go live. We’ll make sure you’re happy with the site, and then we’ll send the final invoice. As soon as that’s settled, we publish the site for you. (We accept payments via check, credit card, or bank transfer – whatever is easiest for you.)
For larger website projects that extend beyond the standard package or have additional features, we can also arrange a milestone payment schedule (for example, 50% deposit, 25% after the design phase, and 25% at launch). We’ll agree on the payment plan that makes the most sense for the project scope and communicate it clearly in the proposal or contract. No surprises – you’ll know exactly when each payment is expected.
