Basic Logo Design
Our Basic Logo Package (typically starting at $700) is designed for startups or small businesses that need a professional logo as a foundation for their brand identity. This package is an affordable way to get a custom-designed logo that you can proudly put on your website, business cards, social media, and more. We focus on capturing the essence of your business in a simple visual mark. Even if you’re a brand-new business on a tight budget, you can have a quality logo that instills confidence and makes you look credible to your customers.
What’s Included
Custom Logo Design: We will create an original logo tailored to your business. No clip-art or generic stock symbols – your logo will be one-of-a-kind. We start by designing multiple concepts (usually 2–3 initial logo concepts) for you to choose from. These concepts will vary in style or approach, giving you options to consider.
Revision Rounds: The Basic package includes at least two rounds of revisions on the chosen logo concept. That means after you pick the concept you like best, we’ll refine it based on your feedback (change colors, tweak fonts, adjust layout, etc.). We work with you to polish the logo until it’s just right. (In our experience, two revision rounds are usually plenty to get to a final design you love!)
Final Logo Files: Once the logo design is finalized, you will receive a bundle of files for both print and digital use. This typically includes:
Vector files (SVG/AI/EPS format) of your logo – this is the master file that can be scaled to any size without losing quality (important for printing signs, banners, etc.).
High-resolution PNG files with transparent background – perfect for using on websites or documents (you can place your logo over any background).
JPEG files – useful for applications that require a non-transparent background.
Black-and-White and/or Single Color versions – we’ll provide a version of your logo in pure black (and sometimes a white version) for flexibility, in case you need to use it in grayscale or on a dark background.
Basic Usage Guidelines: We’ll include a short note or guide on recommended logo usage – for example, what minimum size to use for print so it stays clear, or which version of the logo to use on light vs. dark backgrounds. (This is not a full brand manual, just a one-page reference to help you keep the logo looking its best.)
Ownership Rights: The finalized logo is 100% yours. We transfer all rights to you upon final payment, so you can trademark it or use it however you need. We also keep backup copies for you, in case you ever misplace your files and need them again.
Our Process
Creative Brief & Discovery. First, we’ll chat with you (in person, phone, or email – whichever is easiest) about your business and the vibe you want for your logo. We’ll ask questions like: Do you have any specific imagery in mind or things you want to avoid? What are your brand’s values and personality (e.g., playful, serious, techy, traditional)? Do you have preferred colors or colors you dislike? We encourage you to share any ideas or examples of logos you like. This discovery phase ensures we understand what kind of logo will resonate with you and your target audience.
Concept Design. With the creative brief in hand, we start sketching and designing. We typically create 2 to 3 distinct logo concepts (or as many as is specified in your proposal) as mentioned. These will be presented to you as digital mockups. Each concept might include a logomark (symbol or icon) and your business name in a stylized font (wordmark), or a combination – depending on what fits your needs. We’ll explain the thinking behind each concept, how it represents your brand, and show how it might look in real-world use (for example, on a business card or store sign, for context).
Feedback & Selection. You take some time to review the concepts and then let us know which one you’re gravitating towards. Don’t be shy – tell us what you love or what’s not working for you in the designs. If you like one concept overall but want to see a color change or a mix-and-match of elements from different concepts, just say the word. Your honest feedback is super important. We’ll help guide you too, using our design expertise to advise what changes might enhance the logo. Together, we’ll narrow down to your favorite concept to refine.
Refinement & Revisions. Now we refine the chosen concept. This is where we implement your feedback and may try a few variations: maybe a slightly different font, adjusting the icon, exploring a different arrangement of text vs. symbol, etc. We’ll show you the revised logo and make sure it’s hitting the mark. We include two rounds of revisions in this package, but if we need a little extra tweak after that, we won’t nickel-and-dime you – our priority is that you are happy with the result.
Finalization & Delivery. After you approve the final logo design, we prepare the final files (as listed in “What’s Included”). We double-check everything – for instance, that the vector file is correct, colors are in the right format (CMYK for print files, RGB for web files), etc. We then send you the logo files bundle, usually via a shared Google Drive folder or email (since they can be large files). We’ll also include the basic usage tips sheet and a note reiterating that the logo is now your property. Now you’re ready to start using your new logo everywhere! We love to see our clients proudly displaying their logos – feel free to tag us on social media when you do.
Timeline
A Basic Logo design project generally takes about 2–3 weeks from start to finish. The schedule can vary depending on how quickly you’re able to provide feedback and make decisions. Here’s a typical breakdown:
After our initial discovery chat, we usually need 3-5 days to produce the first logo concepts.
Once we send those to you, you might take a day or two to review and respond.
Each round of revisions then takes a couple of days. In many cases, we’ve wrapped up a logo in just one week.
If you need a rush (maybe you have an event or printing deadline), let us know – we can often accommodate a faster turnaround. Otherwise, we prefer to take enough time to ensure quality and get your input, rather than rush the creative process. We’ll communicate the timeline clearly and keep you updated at each stage.
Invoicing & Payment
For logo design, we typically split it into two payments:
50% deposit upfront when you decide to move forward. This secures your spot in our design queue and covers the initial concept development work.
50% final payment when the logo is approved and before we hand over the final files.
We’ll send the final invoice once you’re happy with your logo. As soon as the final payment is received, we deliver all the files to you. This ensures both parties are protected: you have assurance you’ll get the designs you love, and we have assurance for the work put in. If your company requires a different payment arrangement (for example, some organizations prefer to pay in full at the end, or need an invoice processed by a billing department), just let us know and we can discuss options.
The Basic Logo Package is a flat fee in most cases, which we’ll confirm in our proposal or quote. The starting at $700 price covers the typical scope we described. If you request additional concepts or extensive extra revisions beyond what’s included, we would discuss any additional charges before proceeding, so you’re always in control of the budget. However, that rarely happens for a basic logo project. We strive to stick to the agreed price.
